The Argentine Basketball Confederation announced this Saturday the teams that will travel to the Pan American Games to be held in Santiago, Chile from October 20 to November 5. The men's team will be coached by Leandro Ramella, and will include Franco Baralle (Minas TC, Brazil), Pedro Barral (Obras Sanitarias, Argentina), Juan Bocca (Obradoiro, Spain), Martín Cuello (Flamengo, Brazil), Tayavek Gallizzi (Quimsa , Argentina), Lucas Giovannetti, (Movistar Estudiantes, Spain), Bautista Lugarini (Instituto, Argentina), Agustín Pérez (San Martín de Corrientes, Argentina), Fabián Ramírez Barrios (Quimsa, Argentina), Javier Saiz (Instituto, Argentina) Santiago Scala (Sesi Franca, Brazil) and Kevin Hernández (San Lorenzo, Argentina). The men's team won two gold medals in the Pan American Games in its history (Mar del Plata 1995 and Lima 2019), in addition to two silver medals (Buenos Aires 1951 and Mexico 1955). In Santiago 2023 they will share Group A with Venezuela (October 31), Panama (November 1) and the Dominican Republic (November 2).
