The Houthi rebels confirmed the launch of a wave of unmanned aerial vehicles from Yemen to Israeli territory in response to Israel's offensive against the Gaza Strip, following the attacks carried out by Hamas on October 7, the international press reported. The Yemeni militia affirmed that these "operations to support the Palestinian people" will continue until "the aggression against the Gaza Strip" ceases, according to the Qatari television station Al Jazeera and the Europa Press news agency. The Houthis later issued a statement in which they said their attack achieved the desired objective and influenced their solidarity with the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli offensive, according to media outlets related to the Yemeni militia. The rebels, supported by Iran, had already published hours earlier the first images of the launch of ballistic missiles and drones against Israel, in which slogans in support of Palestine and against Israel and the United States could be heard.
