verdict in the trial that follows two men accused of the crime of a bricklayer, murdered with bullets to the head in February 2022 by "motochorros" who were thwarted by a group of neighbors in the theft of a cell phone from a young man who had been injured in the Buenos Aires town of González Catán, it will be announced this Tuesday, judicial sources reported. The reading of the sentence will take place next Tuesday at noon and will be carried out by the Oral Criminal Court (TOC) 2 of La Matanza, which is judging Juan Gustavo "Rulito" Areco (31) and Jonathan Darío "Chilenito" Moreno (34) for the murder of Christian Rodrigo Insfrán Fariña (32). Judicial sources informed Télam that the trial prosecutor, Alfredo Luppino, requested a sentence of life imprisonment for both defendants, considering them co-authors of the crime of "homicide criminis causa." For their part, the defenses of Areco and Moreno requested the acquittal of their clients from the court made up of judges Lucila Pacheco, Diego Burgueño and Eduardo Sbriz. After listening to nine witnesses, the representative of the Public Ministry confirmed that the incident occurred around 6 p.m. on April 9 of last year on provincial route 1001 and Barragán Bastilla, in González Catán. There, a car accident occurred between a Renault Duster car and a motorcycle. Under these circumstances, two "motochorros" took advantage of the situation to steal the cell phone from the driver of the crashed motorcycle, but they did not succeed due to the intervention of the neighbors who recovered the stolen phone and put the thieves to flight.
