More than 19,000 displaced in Lebanon due to clashes between Israel and Hezbollah

More than 19,000 people had to be displaced within Lebanon due to the spike in attacks between Israel and Hezbollah on the country's southern border, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) reported this Monday. "An increase in incidents on the border" caused the displacement of 19,646 people in Lebanon, "both in the south and in other parts of the country," the UN agency reported. Following the attack that the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas launched in Israeli territory on October 7, clashes between the Lebanese Hezbollah, which is an ally of Hamas, and the Israeli Army increased in the border area.
