82 out of every 100 people aged 60 and over use cell phones, 21 use computers and women of the same age group do one hour and sixteen more minutes of domestic work than men according to the latest statistical report on older people prepared by Indec in commemoration of the 33rd International Day of Older Persons, released this Friday. "The process of population aging, with the increase in life expectancy and the reduction in fertility, poses new challenges for the organization of society," explained Indec in the "Statistical dossier on older people 2023" that provides tools to understand the different phenomena within this population in terms of their sociodemographic characteristics, access to economic security, health and well-being. In this edition, Indec also incorporated the analysis of the use of time of "this growing age group," they noted.
