At least four soldiers killed and 18 injured after an Army truck overturned

The truck, from the IV Mountain Cavalry Regiment, overturned and fell about fifteen meters, on the way to Lake Lolog. Nine seriously injured people were taken to the Ramón Carrillo Hospital. At this time the causes of the accident have not been established.

At least four members of the Argentine Army died and another 18 suffered injuries of varying severity when a truck from the IV Mountain Cavalry Regiment overturned and fell into a precipice of about fifteen meters on the side of Provincial Route 62, on the way to Lake Lolog, six kilometers from the Neuquén city of San Martín de los Andes. Sources from the local Volunteer Firefighters informed Télam that at least four soldiers died in the road accident and that the causes of the accident could not yet be established. They also said that nine seriously injured people were transferred to the Ramón Carrillo Hospital and another nine to the Chapelco Clinic. Six ambulances from the Municipality and the Ramón Carrillo Hospital are working at the site this afternoon along with personnel from the Argentine Army, National Parks brigades and the Traffic Directorate of the Neuquén Police.
